Sarough Mir

Sarough Mir

Sarough Mir rugs combine the dense, durable knotting of the Sarough, also called Sarouk, weaving tradition from the Arak region of central Iran with the Mir pattern, a field of small, finely drawn botehs, the paisley motif, set in neat diagonal rows. Deep reds and dark blues are typical, framed by several narrow borders. The detailed all-over design makes these rugs easy to combine with both classic and contemporary furnishings.
