Indo Sarough
Sarough carpets from Iran’s Arak province are known for their substantial weight, which comes from a dense weave and high pile. They are valued for their durability and the Mahi, or fish, pattern, also called Herati, as well as the Mir pattern that often forms the basis of these rugs. Indo Sarough carpets made in India use these same motifs and keep the look of the originals.
